  Most of the doctors here are extremely nice and helpful, but one is extremely sarcastic and continually condescending. She has been the on-call physician several times when we arrived, and each time she's been really difficult to talk with. She gave good medical opinion, but we walked away feeling like she just hated her job. We spoke with management, and they told us that was just the way she is....not good enough for us.

  I've taken my 3 girls here for 7 years. We have mostly been to the North Office at Forest Lakes/Hollymead. I've had very few issues with them or the downtown office. I've ALWAYS gotten a same day appointment when they're sick. The best part is that they are open on all weekends, holidays, and after hours for Urgent Care which means that we have only had to go to the ER 2 times in 7 years. I'm a medical professional as well and I love that the physicians all respect that and address me as such. They have 15 doctors and all of them have been great except for 1. Some are better than others but all (except that one) have been very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. That's really good for a practice this size. Our primary doctor, Dr. Reynolds, retired (he was the best) but Dr. Gillenwater seems ok so far. I only gave 4 stars because of the 1 doctor that I've had issues with.

  Last year I had my daughter at MJH they made me go to this place for a follow-up visit. This place is extremely anti-breastfeeding. There is one blonde nurse there who claims there are 32 grams in an ounce, there are 28 look it up. They said my daughter only gained 10 grams in the 2 days since she was born, their scale was broken it said error 3 times before displaying a weight which was off by 2 whole ounces, the lady looked at me and said she should have gained more weight than that. They told me I NEEDED to give her formula because my breastmilk wasn't enough (my milk had JUST come in). First of all, I typically weigh 96lbs not pregnant so if course my children are going to be small. I took my child straight from there to Dr. Katz at Downtown Family Health Center where they re-weighed her and voila, she was perfectly fine and had even gained more than her birth weight back. Never go here. Find a good FAMILY doctor instead.

  The physicians are good, but a lot of the people in the front staff are exteremely rude. In addition, they make a big fuss about giving appointment to their existing patients, while new patients can get in very easily. I wonder if this has to do with how much money they make per new patient vs. routine checkup of the old ones. So, despite good physicians, I am taking my kids off from here due to poor service from front staff.
