  We couldn't be happier with the experience we've had with Dr. Hamer and his wonderful staff. There is something very special about this practice. They work really hard to make the somewhat uncomfortable experience of having braces easy and friendly for patients and parents. A couple years ago, our dentist recommended that our 8-year-old son see an orthodontist for some early intervention work because of crowding. A year and a half later, our son’s teeth look so much better!! I’m SO GLAD we selected Hamer & Hamer! With Dr. Hamer’s plan, there is already much more room in his mouth for the rest of his adult teeth to come in straighter. It’s easy to see how, because of Dr. Hamer’s knowledge and experience and some wise early intervention, our son he won’t need to be in braces for quite as long as a teenager. Dr. Hamer and his team clearly work hard to make the whole process as easy on the patient as it can be while achieving great and long-long lasting results. As a kid, I remember dreading orthodontist appointments. This is not that kind of practice!! Our son hasn’t minded going to the orthodontist one bit. In fact, I know it sounds crazy, but he looks forward to Hamer & Hamer visits! The staff is super friendly and makes (young and adult) patients feel as comfortable as possible during the hardware installations and adjustments. For young patients, they have a fun reward system where they can earn points towards prizes (good prizes like iTunes and GameStop cards) by memorizing uplifting quotes, dressing up on theme weeks, wearing the practice’s fun T-shirt, and, of course, having good dental check ups. At the first treatment plan meeting, I really appreciated the way Dr. Hamer and his treatment coordinator thoroughly analyzed our son’s teeth and then clearly communicated his goals for our son’s smile along with methods and timeframes. He uses cool digital videos to explain the treatment goals and process. So, both my son and I knew what to expect. We found his pricing to seem fair and upfront. No hidden costs and they offer convenient payment plans. Making appointments is very convenient, and they even offer a shuttle to and from our son’s school for working parents. Both their Charlottesville office and their Crozet offices are fantastic! The whole staff is an amazing team of highly experienced and caring professionals. Dr. Hamer is not just a great orthodontist, he’s also a really great guy who cares about his patients and the community. We really feel that our son’s smile is in great hands with Hamer & Hamer.

  The staff is the most friendliest and caring I have ever seen. They do fantastic theme weeks and contests that make it fun for the kids to come to their appointment instead of having to be drug there. They helped to give us several financial options for payment. Strongly recommend this office to anyone.
